Vous en avez marre de tomber sur du contenu IA pourri quand vous faites une recherche Google ? Des articles générés par des bots qui tournent en rond sans rien dire d'intéressant, des images bizarres avec des mains à 6 doigts, des réponses Stack Overflow qui sentent le ChatGPT à plein nez... Bonne nouvelle les amis, y'a une solution radicale et elle est signée Tega Brain, une artiste et ingénieure environnementale australienne qui enseigne à NYU.

Son extension s'appelle Slop Evader et son principe est d'une simplicité désarmante. Au lieu d'essayer de détecter l'IA (ce qui est de toute façon voué à l'échec), elle applique un filtre temporel sur vos recherches Google. En gros, vous ne verrez plus que du contenu daté d'AVANT le 30 novembre 2022, soit la veille du lancement public de ChatGPT.

Alors oui, c'est radical. Mais c'est justement tout l'intérêt.

L'extension fonctionne sur Chrome et Firefox , et elle ajoute automatiquement le paramètre de date Google à vos requêtes. Pas besoin de retenir les opérateurs de recherche comme tbs=cdr:1,cd_max:11/29/2022, le bouzin fait ça tout seul. Et ça marche pas que sur Google... ça filtre aussi YouTube, Reddit, Quora, Stack Exchange, Mumsnet et Pinterest.

Évidemment, y'a un prix à payer... Vous perdez l'accès à toute l'info récente. Plus de news fraîches, plus d'articles de blogs de 2026, plus de recherches scientifiques publiées ces trois dernières années. Mais bon, si vous cherchez un tuto Python, une recette de cuisine ou des conseils pour un problème technique, y'a de grandes chances que le contenu de 2022 soit largement suffisant... et surtout, vous êtes sûr qu'il a été pondu par un humain !

Tega Brain assume totalement l'aspect politique de son projet. Elle explique que « le slop » (comme on appelle maintenant cette bouillie de contenus IA) ne va pas disparaître et qu'on a besoin d'outils de refus collectif. D'ailleurs, l'extension supporte aussi DuckDuckGo pour les recherches basiques, même si les filtres par site passent encore par Google.

Bref, si vous êtes fatigué de devoir vous demander "est-ce que c'est de l'IA ?" à chaque fois que vous lisez un truc sur le web, Slop Evader remet les pendules à l'heure... littéralement. C'est pas une solution parfaite, c'est une déclaration politique et ça fait du bien !

Quand je suis tombé sur Wario.style , j'ai d'abord cru à une blague. Sauf que non.

Ce petit site web vous transforme vos morceaux préférés en version Game Boy, à condition qu'un fichier MIDI existe pour la chanson en question. Vous cherchez une chanson, vous sélectionnez la source MIDI qui vous plaît, vous cliquez sur "Generate"... et là, c'est la magie des bips et des blops qui opère.

Ce qui se cache derrière porte le doux nom de Wario Synthesis Engine. Concrètement, ça analyse le fichier MIDI pour identifier les pistes de mélodie, de basse et d'accords, puis ça resynthétise le tout avec des oscillateurs Web Audio calibrés pour imiter la puce sonore 4 canaux de la Game Boy. Deux canaux pulse wave pour la mélodie, un canal wave pour les graves, et un canal noise pour les percussions. C'est à dire le même setup que la vraie console de 1989, les amis !

Et le plus beau dans tout ça, c'est que la synthèse audio se fait entièrement côté client. La recherche de fichiers MIDI passe par un serveur, mais la génération du son, elle, tourne direct dans votre navigateur. Du coup, niveau réactivité, on est bien.

Le site est signé @b1rdmania, un dev qui a construit ce projet "for lols" avec Claude Code (hé oui, c'est mentionné fièrement sur la page). D'ailleurs si vous voulez fouiller le code source , tout est public sur GitHub. C'est du TypeScript propre avec Vite derrière pour le build.

Côté fonctionnalités, la version 1.3 apporte le partage direct sur X, une palette Game Boy claire pour les nostalgiques du vert olive, et des correctifs pour l'audio sur iPhone. Parce que oui, Apple bloque le son tant que vous n'avez pas tapé sur un truc, mais une fois le bouton "Enable Audio" cliqué, c'est parti mon kiki.

Le projet a d'ailleurs une page d'embed si vous voulez intégrer vos créations chiptune sur vos sites web. Perso, je trouve ça super cool pour donner une ambiance rétro à n'importe quel projet.

Voilà, si vous avez grandi avec les bips caractéristiques de la Game Boy et que vous avez toujours rêvé de transformer vos morceaux préférés en 8-bit, foncez tester Wario.style . C'est gratuit, c'est fun, et n'oubliez pas, si vous cherchez d'autres outils pour composer du chiptune plus sérieusement, j'ai parlé de Furnace et DefleMask il y a pas longtemps.

J'sais pas si vous vous souvenez mais en 2016, Elon Musk avait promis qu'une Tesla serait capable de traverser les États-Unis d'une côte à l'autre avec le système FSD (conduite autonome), sans que le conducteur n'ait besoin d'intervenir. À l'époque, il annonçait ça pour fin 2017 et on est en 2026 et... hé bien, ça vient enfin de se produire (même si pas exactement comme prévu).

David Moss, un américain originaire de Tacoma, vient de réaliser l'exploit le 31 décembre 2025. Il a quitté le Tesla Diner de Los Angeles avec sa Model 3 grise et a roulé jusqu'à Myrtle Beach en Caroline du Sud. 2 732,4 miles (environ 4 400 km) en 2 jours et 20 heures (recharges incluses).

Et tout ça avec zéro désengagement du FSD ! Le système a même géré tous les stationnements aux Superchargeurs (30 recharges au total, le conducteur devait juste brancher le câble).

Son véhicule tournait avec la version FSD 14.2.1.25 et la puce AI4, le hardware embarqué actuel sur les Tesla et d'après ses données sur fsddb.com (un site communautaire de tracking FSD), il a même dépassé les 10 000 miles consécutifs sans désengagement.

Ashok Elluswamy, le VP de l'IA chez Tesla, a salué l'exploit sur X en parlant de première traversée d'une côte à l'autre en FSD v14. Le compte officiel Tesla North America a aussi relayé l'info et Musk a réagi avec un sobre "Cool". (lol)

Si vous êtes tenté de faire pareil, n'oubliez pas quand même que le système s'appelle toujours "FSD Supervised", ce qui signifie que légalement le conducteur reste responsable et doit rester vigilant. David Moss n'a donc pas vraiment fait une sieste de 3 jours pendant que sa bagnole roulait toute seule. Il était bien là, prêt à intervenir si besoin... sauf qu'il n'en a jamais eu besoin.

Ce qui me fait kiffer dans cette histoire, c'est que ça donne un sacré coup de boost à l'approche de Tesla concernant la conduite autonome : des caméras, du machine learning et des réseaux de neurones, sans LiDAR. Geohot avait commencé à bidouiller ça en 2015 avec son projet qui est devenu OpenPilot chez Comma.ai . Et là, un conducteur passionné vient enfin de prouver que leur stack logicielle peut tenir un trajet de 4 400 km sans broncher. Bon, c'est un one shot et pas une validation scientifique reproductible, mais c'est quand même impressionnant.

Et perso, près de 9 ans après la promesse initiale de Musk (octobre 2016), c'est cool de voir que ça progresse enfin concrètement !
