As of July 2026, SQL Server migration enabled by Azure Arc supports SQL Server on Azure Virtual Machines as a generally available (GA) migration target. This adds a second destination alongside Azure SQL Managed Instance and brings the entire migration lifecycle into a single guided workflow in the Azure portal. The migration method relies on backup and restore combined with log shipping, using Azure Blob Storage as an intermediary staging area. Microsoft sets support deadlines for OneDrive sync on Windows 10
Microsoft will terminate support for the OneDrive sync client on Windows 10 version 22H1 and all earlier releases starting August 15, 2026. This decision ends an extended support period for the application on operating systems that officially reached their end-of-life status in late 2022. While the client will not be blocked from running immediately after the deadline, it will no longer receive security patches, bug fixes, or new features.

Microsoft has released the July 2026 Patch Tuesday update (KB5101650) to resolve a critical storage bug affecting Windows 11 versions 24H2 and 25H2. The issue stems from the Capability Access Manager service (camsvc), which failed to properly checkpoint its write-ahead log file, CapabilityAccessManager.db-wal. This failure caused the hidden file to grow indefinitely, with some users reporting it consumed over 500GB of disk space.
