OpenClaw agents can make bounded HTTP 402 payments through AWS
OpenClaw agents can use Amazon Bedrock AgentCore payments on AWS to answer HTTP 402 challenges and access paywalled APIs without waiting for a human at every transaction. OpenClaw itself is not AWS-only, but this payment integration depends on AWS accounts, AgentCore services, IAM roles, and AWS-specific tooling. Administrators create the wallet and bounded payment session separately, while the model-facing runtime can spend only within an approved policy.

Oracle and AWS have made Oracle Exadata Database Service on Exascale Infrastructure generally available through Oracle AI Database@AWS, adding pay-per-use Exadata performance and an expanded long-term migration agreement. The service scales compute and storage independently, starts at 8 ECPUs and 300 GB, and is now offered in 22 AWS Regions. Earlier, Oracle introduced an on-premises managed service for mid-sized AI workloads in earlier coverage.

AWS DRS finally preserves Linux UEFI boot mode during recovery
AWS Elastic Disaster Recovery (AWS DRS) now automatically preserves UEFI boot mode when recovering Linux servers. Recovered instances launch with the same firmware mode as their sources, removing a post-recovery configuration step that could otherwise prevent UEFI-dependent applications from starting correctly.

AWS is asking engineers to shut down idle EC2 instances and reduce CPU waste as demand from agentic AI workloads tightens capacity. About 65% of EC2 instances reportedly average less than 20% CPU utilization over 30 days, while some engineers now wait days for capacity that was previously available within hours.
