Azure Arc migration dashboard (image Microsoft)
As of July 2026, SQL Server migration enabled by Azure Arc supports SQL Server on Azure Virtual Machines as a generally available (GA) migration target. This adds a second destination alongside Azure SQL Managed Instance and brings the entire migration lifecycle into a single guided workflow in the Azure portal. AWS Security Hub adds native Azure monitoring and AI workload protection

AWS Security Hub adds native Azure monitoring and AI workload protection
AWS Security Hub now natively monitors Microsoft Azure resources, marking the service's first expansion into direct multicloud management. The integration automatically discovers Azure virtual machines, storage containers, and SQL databases to evaluate them for misconfigurations and software vulnerabilities. Findings from Azure are normalized into the same format as AWS alerts, allowing security teams to manage risks across both platforms from a single console.

Microsoft launches Windows 365 for Agents to secure AI workloads

Microsoft launches Windows 365 for Agents to secure AI workloads
Microsoft has introduced Windows 365 for Agents, a specialized Cloud PC service designed to provide a managed and isolated execution environment for AI agents. These dedicated virtual machines allow organizations to apply the same security and compliance frameworks to automated workloads that they currently use for human employees. By moving agents away from unmanaged local or shared infrastructure, the service aims to eliminate risks like privilege escalation and lateral movement.
